how a candle works

A candle now days is usually used for ordainments and some are scented to smell nice.

They should be lit by a candle or a lighter.

They are made from wax and a wick. (a wick is the little piece of rope sticking out from the

wick)

To light a candle you get a lighter and light the wick , the flame will go on the wick but be careful

keep it away from your hands, it gets hot.

the way the wick gives the fire the food it needs to stay alive is the heat of the flame melts the wax and the wax turns into a liquid and goes up the wick and feeds the flame.

Candles have been around for years and years. They used to be used for things like lighting up rooms and for wee lights for the Jews when world war 2 was on.
